A Morpheus8 body treatment uses radiofrequency microneedling to firm and smooth skin on areas like the stomach, arms, and thighs. At our Kitsilano clinic, many body patients come in after a pregnancy or a big change in weight.
This guide explains how it works on the body, which areas we treat, and what to expect from your visits.

Morpheus8 combines fine needles with radiofrequency energy. The needles create tiny channels in the skin, and the energy gently heats the deeper layers underneath.
That heat prompts your body to build new collagen and elastin over the following months. The result is skin that looks firmer and smoother, without surgery.
Body skin is thicker than facial skin. For that reason, body treatments use deeper settings than the face, adjusted for each area.
Our Morpheus8 service covers both the face and the body. Common body areas include:
Many patients also ask about stretch marks. Morpheus8 can help soften their texture over a series, though results are gradual and vary from person to person.
A Morpheus8 body treatment may suit you if you:
Morpheus8 firms skin, but it does not remove large amounts of loose skin. If skin laxity is significant, we will tell you honestly and discuss whether a surgical consultation makes more sense.

RF microneedling is a medical treatment, not a beauty salon service. Health Canada classifies licensed RF microneedling devices as Class III medical devices, a moderate to high risk category.
You can check whether a device is licensed for sale in Canada using Health Canada’s Medical Devices Active Licence Listing. Health Canada has also warned about unauthorised microneedling devices and advises choosing an experienced professional.
First Avenue Medical Spa is physician directed and has served Kitsilano and Vancouver’s West Side since 2008.
Your first visit starts with a consultation. We look at your skin, ask about your health history, and agree on realistic goals for each area.
On treatment day, we apply a numbing cream and give it time to work. The treatment itself feels like warmth and light pressure as we move across the area.
Afterward, the skin is usually red and a little swollen for a few days. You may notice small marks on the skin while it heals.
Collagen builds slowly, so results appear gradually over several months. Most patients need a series of treatments, which we plan at your consultation.
A Morpheus8 body treatment focuses on skin quality. If you also want to reduce stubborn fat or improve muscle tone, it can be planned alongside EvolveX body sculpting. Our body contouring guide explains how these options work together.
Healing skin needs protection from the sun. The Canadian Dermatology Association recommends sun protection every day, even when it is cloudy.
Keep treated areas covered or use a broad spectrum sunscreen, as Health Canada recommends. Our Morpheus8 recovery time guide covers aftercare day by day.

We use numbing cream before treatment. Most patients describe the feeling as warmth and pressure rather than pain.
It depends on the area and your goals. We plan your series at your consultation and adjust it as your skin responds.
Sometimes, depending on the areas and your comfort. We can also plan them as separate visits. For the face, see our guide to Morpheus8 for the neck and jawline.
Fall and winter work well in Vancouver. Treated skin stays covered more easily, and results have time to build before summer.
