Venus Viva Skin Resurfacing is a highly effective treatment that delivers a harmony of benefits for all skin types. It requires little to no downtime and can significantly lessen the appearance of imperfections and soften your skin, improving tone, texture, and clarity.
Nano-Fractional RF Resurfacing
The Venus Viva Resurfacing treatments use micro-pins that deliver heat via the surface of the skin. The heat is transferred using Nano-Fractional Radio Frequency technology and creates micro-dermal wounds which are healed naturally by the body.
This type of treatment is safe for use on all skin types and tones. For many with darker complexions who might not be suitable for laser-based resurfacing treatments, this presents an ideal option that is equally as effective as it is popular.
You can return to your normal skincare regime just 24-hours after administration, and it can be completed in as little as 15-60 minutes.
Who can benefit
Venus Viva™ can correct a multitude of skin concerns using a unique system that works differently to any other alternatives. Treatments are delivered quickly, and when used as part of a course, will work to smooth and improve the skin from below the surface.
Unlike most other skin resurfacing treatments that are not safe for darker skin tones, Venus Viva™ is safe for all ethnicities, even for darker complexions.
Venus Viva™ will benefit the most those looking to:

Diminish visible pores
Even out skin tone and texture

Decrease visible signs of acne scarring
Correct necklace lines for younger looking skin

Stimulate long-term collagen production and regeneration for lasting results with minimal maintenance
What does the treatment look like?
When you attend the First Ave Medical spa for your Venus Viva treatment, you will feel the pins on your skin followed by a micro-zap. You will then experience a warming sensation similar to sunburn.
Is the treatment painful?
It is normal to feel a slight level of discomfort throughout the treatment, but clients do not describe the feeling as painful as we numb the area 30 minutes before the treatment. The heating sensation is described as being very similar to sunburn, and your face might appear to be a little red immensity afterwards.
How will I feel after the treatment?
Your skin will feel warm and will appear slightly reddish. This is often described as similar to the sensation of sunburn. This can be eased by exposure to cool air. This warming sensation usually passes within 24-hours of the treatment.
Is there downtime?
Yes, but only for 24 hours post-treatment (or up to 5 days for more aggressive treatments), unlike lasers or other treatments where recovery or downtime lasts up to 10 days. Your skin will be red and for the first 24 hours, you will not be allowed to apply or rub anything on your skin, including water or sweat (so no hot yoga or any other exercise that will make you perspire). After 24 hours, you may put on makeup and resume your regular skin care routine. You should apply sunscreen (at least SPF 30), preferably one without chemicals. But avoid rigorous exercise and hot baths or massages on the treatment area for the first 2 days after your session. Make sure to keep your skin clean and protected from the sun. Avoid any sort of tanning.
Is Venus Viva right for me?
The Venus Viva resurfacing treatment is suitable for all skin types and tones. If you are showing any visible signs of skin damage, such as deep wrinkles, enlarged pores, dark spots, scars, or any other textural skin concern, then you could benefit from getting the treatment.
How many treatments will I need before I see the result?
Each patient has unique skin concerns that they want to be addressed. As such, a tailored plan will be provided for you following an initial consultation at the First Ave Medical Spa. On average, clients usually undertake between 3-4 treatments per area, however, noticeable results will be seen after the first session
Treatment gaps are usually spaced around 4 weeks apart.
How can I prepare for the treatment?
It is important to ensure your skin is completely clean when you attend for your treatment. It will need to be free from any creams, lotions, perfume or make-up. In the week prior to your treatment, it is important to avoid tanning. If the area you are getting treated is covered in hair, then you will need to shave it before you attend.
How ling do the results last?
After you have completed your course of treatments, you will see continued results as the renewal of cells occurs. It is possible that you may require a touch-up treatment depending upon how your skin responds to the initial treatments and your individual skin condition.
